Scottie Scheffler kept his celebration simple — and cold. After clinching the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, he slipped inside for air conditioning and, spotting an open bar, grabbed a beer, according to a video shared by Golf Digest. “These guys are trying to get me to do media,” Scheffler said in the video. “I was like, alright, let me just go inside so I can get some air conditioning. And then there was an open bar right there, and I was like, alright I’m grabbing a beer.” He added that he rarely drinks and called it a “well‑earned” beer.
From three back to $10 million
NBC Sports reported that the world No. 1 started the final round three shots behind but closed with a 4‑under 66 to finish 16 under, beating Viktor Hovland by three strokes at East Lake. The win came with a $10 million share of a $40 million purse, per NBC Sports.

Milestones pile up
According to NBC Sports, the victory gave Scheffler his second FedEx Cup title, joining Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy as the only players with multiple wins. NBC Sports also reported that Scheffler moved past Woods atop the PGA Tour career money list with earnings above $130 million. The Tour Championship marked his 22nd career PGA Tour victory and his third win of 2026, per NBC Sports.
Simple dinner plans
Post‑round, Scheffler said he was craving a big cheeseburger with fries — and maybe a milkshake — according to the Golf Digest–shared video.
